

She graduated from Port Neches High School in 1949, and was a devout Catholic who religiously recited her rosary. Ethel was a member of St. James Catholic Church who loved music, Cajun dancing, all types of animals, charitable donations and of course her favorite actor, John Wayne. She was a very caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Her most special achievements of all were her Faith in God, a beautiful family, and starting out as a file clerk at Park Place Hospital, and later becoming an Assistant Purchasing Agent, and retiring in Medical Records at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Ethel is preceded in death by her brother, John Guidry and niece Leah Ann Lister.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Broussard and her significant other Randy Ball; daughter, Barbara Clark and her husband, Joseph; son, Johnny Broussard; son, Michael Broussard and his wife, Sylvia; grandchildren, Christy Marceaux, Joshua Marceaux, April Harris, DJ Broussard, Stacey Rayner, Ruby Balsano, Elisa Garrison; thirteen great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur officiated by Father Stephen McCrate. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted on behalf of the family or charity of choice.
