

Mrs. Eugenia Gertrude Hill Coleman, 83, entered into sweet sleep with The Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Cypress Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Arthur, TX under the watchful care of Odyssey Hospice Services.
She was born in Galveston, Texas to the union of Eugene and Doris Hill. In 1952 Eugenia married C. W Coleman. Her husband, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, step daughter, and grandson preceded her in death.
Mrs. Coleman served students and parents at Lincoln high School, Lamar Elementary, Franklin Elementary, and other elementary schools in the PAISD for many years. Upon retirement from the school district, she volunteered with the Patient Care Department at Doctors Hospital in Groves, Texas for a number of years. She was also a member of United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur, Texas.
Those who will cherish Eugenia’s memory forever are her niece, Mrs. Linda Turner Spears (Joseph) of Port Arthur, Texas, Son-in-Law, Mr. Willie Olivier of Orange Texas, step grandchildren, Michael Olivier of Norfolk, VA, Angela Perez of Reddings, PA, Leon Wright, Jr of Florida, godchildren Leora Jones (Chris) of Port Arthur, TX, Lynette Jacquet of Port Arthur, Texas, and LaChrista Jones of Port Arthur, Texas, great niece and nephews, Nkrumah Crook (Lydia) of Houston, TX, Imani Stewart (Elliott) of Springs, Texas, Shabaka Crook and Darrius Spears of Port Arthur, Texas, devoted friends, Shirley Riley and Leon Wright of Port Arthur, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Hannah Funeral Home, Inc., at 3727 Lewis Drive in Port Arthur, Texas has been entrusted with arrangements under the direction of Mrs. Barbra Hannah Keys, Rev. Thurman Bartie, and Staff. Homegoing Services will be held at The Hannah Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm, with family visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.
The Rev. Dr. John R. Adolph, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church of Beaumont, Texas will officiate the service with Rev. Kurt Washington, pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Port Arthur, Texas assisting. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur, Texas.
