

J. B. retired from Gulf Oil Corporation after 38 years of service as a master carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working He was a member of the Methodist Church and received his 50 year certificate from the Grand Lodge of Texas. J.B. was a member of the Port Arthur Lodge A.M. & F.M. 1264. J.B. proudly served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II
J.B. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Hilda Gafford in 2005, brothers, James L. Gafford and Allen Gafford, sisters, Alyne Corley and Lorene Provost. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Becky) and husband Kent Dickerson and Paula and husband David Dickerson both of Orange, grandchildren Casey and wife Sabrina Rouly, Carl and wife, Gloria Certa, JR., great grandchildren Cailey and Sean Certa, Aaliyah Barragan and Izabel Rouly
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
