He was born on June 25, 1924 in Guanaja Bay Islands, Spanish Honduras to the late Dodoe McCoy and Rosa McCoy. He was a retired merchant marine and was a member of the Groves Community Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Lorenzo is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time friend Joy Repczynski. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Koreen McCoy; and sister, Winnie Wood.
