Lorine Ruth Gribnau, 88, of Nederland died April 21, 2012 at her residence. Born November 4, 1923 in Port Arthur, she was the daughter of Martha Anna Kalmbach Fischer and Berthold Fischer. Lorine enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, cooking, and every morning she would feed the birds. She loved her family very much and loved having everybody over to eat. Lorine was also a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Perryman and her husband, Walter of Nederland; sons, Donald Gribnau and his wife, Julia of Port Neches, Ronald Gribnau and his wife, Barbara of Nederland and Robert Gribnau of Groves; grandchildren, Brad Perryman and his wife, Traci, Brandon Perryman and his wife, Andrea, Amy Austin and her husband, John, Donny Gribnau, Kyle Gribnau, Jeremy Gribnau and his wife, Emily, and Jeffrey Gribnau and his wife, Jessica; and great grandchildren, Brooke Perryman, Bailey Perryman, Brice Perryman, Alexandra Perryman, Zachary Perryman, Annelise Gribnau, Ella Gribnau, Avery Gribnau, Norah Gribnau, and Jacqueline Austin due in June. Lorine was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Max Gribnau; her parents; and a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2711 Helena, Nederland followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday evening, April 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
