Robert R. Palmer Sr.

Robert was born October 12, 1914 in Hacodo, Alabama to William Thomas Palmer and Viola Lowery Palmer. He was a longtime area resident and retired after 44 years of service as a night foreman from Texaco. He was a member of Abundant Life Sanctuary, Groves Masonic Lodge #1315, and VFW Post #797. He was also a U.S. Air Force pilot during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Jeri Stegall and Dorinda Morris; and granddaughter, Alicia Palmer.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Palmer of The Woodlands; daughter, Jerisue Thomson and husband, Tommy of The Woodlands; son, Robert Rowell Palmer, Jr. and wife, Kitty of Kingwood; sister, Ruthe Palmer of Groves; brother, James Palmer and wife, Karen of Dallas; grandson, Robert Rowell Palmer, III and wife, Lauren of Tomball; great-grandchildren, Olivia Palmer, Rachel Henry and Julie Henry.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12 noon Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
