Alfred Wegner

Passed away after a brief illness surrounded by his family and friends at the Village of Arbour Trails, Guelph on April 25, 2014. Loving husband to Barbara Wegner (2002) and loving partner to Jean Stephens. Wonderful father to Michael Wegner (2012), Steven (Dale Martin) Wegner, Jeffrey Wegner, Donald (Rose) Wegner, and David Wegner. Loving grandfather to Jennifer (Scott) Cowen, Christopher Wegner, Alyxandra Wegner, Matthew Wegner, Daniel Wegner, DJ Wegner, and Kelly-Ann Wegner. Great-grandfather to Henry Cowen. Loving stepfather to Susan (John) Cunningham, and Debra Dorpmans. Cousin to Edward (June) George. He will be greatly missed by many other family and friends. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph for visitation on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. A funeral service will be held in the Dublin Chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. with a procession to Marymount Cemetery for burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
