Arnold Trask

TRASK, Arnold – Passed away peacefully after a long, full life in his 96th year on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Guelph General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Trask (2011). Loving father of Kerry of Manitowoc, WI, Patricia (William Gardner) of London, ON, David of Guelph and Elizabeth (David McDonald) of Thornhill, ON. Cherished Papa of John-Peter Victor, Emily, Timothy, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Carly and Karyn. Great-grandfather of Olivia, Alexander and Rayne. Survived by his two sisters Betty Nye and Erma Coster, both of Barrie. A special thank you to Dr. J. Dason, Dr. N. Chan, Dr. L. Grebenyuk and the deeply caring staff on the 7th floor at the Guelph General Hospital. Arnold was an unusually talented artist. A man of exceptional humour, an enthusiastic curler, lawn bowler and golfer for many years. A man of the lakes, and an unusually sweet-hearted, patient man. A wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be forever remembered by all who knew him. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Interment to take place on Monday, August 27, 2012 at St. Andrew's and St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
