My Auntie Carol was truly a wonderful host. Almost every holiday growing up, from Easter and Thanksgiving, to Birthdays and Christmas, was spent in the comfort of her lovely home enjoying her home cooked meals. Our family suffered the terrible loss of our father at a young age, and after that she always made a point to welcome us into her home and have us join their family celebrate holidays and occasions big and small. I will forever be grateful to her for that. May you Rest In Peace my Auntie Carol - I love you very much and will miss you dearly. Shannon xo

Gary,  Carol is now waiting for you in a beautiful meadow, surrounded by others who were also smitten by their beloved moose mates. She is saving the sweetest daisy's for you. Stay strong my friend.

I remember Carol on the day of Garys retirement party.  She was beaming ear to ear.  The sign in the front yard and the trip she made with the grandkids to pick up Gary on his last day at work.  What a celebration.  People coming and going all day long.  It was a great day for everyone who was there and especially Carol.  She had a smile and laugh going pretty much all day.

I loved telling her stories about the brothers down south during many of our visits up north or her and Garys visits to our neck of the woods.
But what I will remember always is her facial response to the stories. The stare, then the smile and then her laugh.  I know we all have our own laugh, but hers made me feel better.

I know there will always be wonderful memories in your hearts and I know that smile and laugh are there as well.

Thank you Carol for sharing your family with my family.  God has blessed you and will continue to bless you.

Carol was a sweet lady, always making sure of everything for her family.  Anticipating the arrival of them all for the weekends. Struggling with her illnesses she was able to keep the place in ships shape at Fisherman’s Cove. She held a special spot in her heart for all her grandchildren. Gary, Debbie & the boys will have a trying summer but you have many friends around you. Hugs to you all.
