Harris, Clive Austin-- February 7, 1935 – January 26, 2014. After battling cancer for several years it is with great sadness that the Harris family announce the passing of Clive Austin Harris. Clive was a devoted husband of fifty-three and a half years to Lois, beloved father to his children Beverley, Keturah and Michael; their spouses Alfred, Tyron and Nikaelia and “grandpa” to Adrielle Kaelyn-Joy. Because of our continuing faith in Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life, we do believe that we will see our husband and father again on the Resurrection morning. As founder and owner of the Vege-Hut Bakery, Clive served the Southwestern Ontario region from 1984 until the time of his passing. He was a pioneer in the health food industry. In this capacity he impacted countless lives in and beyond the local community. He was a faithful member and elder of the Guelph Seventh-Day Adventist church for close to four decades. His spirit, vibrancy and determination will be sadly missed by many. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the many amazing doctors, nurses, and care givers who journeyed with us through this period. We also express our deepest gratitude to our extended family, friends and church communities for your many prayers, visits and acts of kindness. Friends and family will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel , 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment to take place on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Those wishing to take part in the funeral committal service (interment) should assemble at 9:30 a.m. at the Salvation Army Guelph Citadel located at 1320 Gordon Street in Guelph Ontario. Following the interment, a worship service celebrating Clive’s life and faith will take place at 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army Guelph Citadel located at 1320 Gordon Street in Guelph Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any of the following charities would be appreciated by the family: Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency (ADRA) Canada, It is Written Canada, Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital.
