Born August 13th 1950, the beloved son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Queenie) Baum. Don was the devoted father to Gregory and Michael (Amber) and a cherished Papa to Shyla, Ellie and Hunter. He was a loving brother to Al, Joseph and William and is survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Don, who was born and raised in Guelph, was a man who relished the little things in life. Prior to his recent retirement in March of this year, he worked as a dedicated Architectural Technician for over 25 years.
Anyone who met Don would concur that he was a selfless loving man whose sons and grandchildren were his focus in life.
He loved music and fast cars, especially his Mustang. He often talked about his cross-Canada drives as some of his most memorable life experiences. His favorite pass time was being with his family. Any free time from them was devoted to his love of sports. He could often be found enjoying some of his favorite sports with the occasional cold beer.
He was a sincere man who lived a simple life and had a profoundly good influence on his family and will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to be touched by his life.
A cremation has taken place and the family invites you for visitation at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral home Dublin chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 6- 9 p.m.
