Douglas Dennis Burton

BURTON, Douglas "Dennis" - Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, on Thursday, September 10, 2009, in his 69th year. Dennis was the beloved husband, soul mate and best friend for 42 years of Margaret-Ann Pearl (Davis) Burton. Dennis was the devoted father of Douglas (Kim), Steven Burton, Michelle Giovinazzo (Domenico), Melanie Camara (Nelson), Cherished grandfather of Zachary and muched love grand-dog Delilah. Predeceased by his parents Georgina (Divine) and Charles Hebert Burton. Dennis is survived by his dear sisters Evelyn Pyke of Springhill, NS, Eileen (Cyril) Henwood of Amherst, NS, Margaret (Arnold) Cox of Amherst, NS, Leona Aniol of Guelph, ON, dear brother of Donald Burton of Springhill, NS, Ned Burton of Amherst, NS, Simon (Gail) Burton of Port Elgin, ON, Pat (Mary-Anne) Burton of St. John, NS and the late Shirley Burton, Betty Adams and Clayton Burton. Dennis will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Dennis will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
