Green, Douglas James "Shecky"; At home, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the age of 59. Beloved husband of Bernice F. (Pettigrew) Green. Loved son of the late Fred and Mary Green. Dear brother of Ted and his wife Diane of Guelph, the late Bill and his wife Marilyn of Peterborough and the late Peggy Cabeldu and her late husband Gordon. Cherished brother-in-law of Rod and his wife Elaine Pettigrew, Karen Ferguson, Mario and his wife Carol Pettigrew, Bert and his wife Vicki Pettigrew and the late Bernie Pettigrew. Survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital (Oncology Department), the Community Care Access Centre or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards are available at the funeral home 519-821-5077 or send condolences at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com).
