BABIN, Frances Veronica (nee Phalen) With heavy hearts we share the news of Fran's passing. Born in Guysborough, Nova Scotia on October 10, 1926. Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on October 29, 2012. Fran Babin, beloved wife of Alba. Dearly loved mother of Linda Pierce (John), Kathy Ecclestone (Eric), Alan, Colette and Teresa Pellizzari (Frank). Predeceased by her son Richard (October 2009). Loving Nanny of Sasha, Jesse (John), Rachael (Peter), Blake, Jared, Janna (Mike), Lee, Dylan, Justyn and Maggie. Great-Nanny of Pierce, Lily, Pippa, Cooper and Sam. Fran is also survived by her sisters Marg and Betty. Predeceased by her sister Mary. A special thank you to our good neighbours, especially Marg Kelly and the doctors and nurses at the Guelph General Hospital and St. Joseph's Health Centre for their excellent care. Friends will be met at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers for Fran will be held Thursday evening at 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. John's Church (45 Victoria Rd.) at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with an interment of ashes at Marymount Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted in memory of Fran to St. John's Church, Trellis Mental Health and Developmental Services or the Canadian Mental Health Association, Grand River Branch.
