Born on May 26, 1930, in Italy to Nicola and Finalba Del Corso, Geni lived a full and vibrant life defined by love, laughter, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
A devoted mother to Maria (Carlo) and Nina, Geni was also the cherished Nonna to David (Lia), Samantha (Phil), Kenneth (Diana), Elisa, Nicolas (Sabrina), and Aliana. Her legacy continued through her beloved Bisnonna (great-grandchildren): Kassandra (Derek), Jordan, Brandon, Fabrizio, Serena, Daphnee, and Megan, and further to her great-great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Antonia. Predeceased by her husband Nicola and her son Emilio.
Geni will be fondly remembered for her boundless love of family, her passion for cooking (especially her delicious pastries), and the joy she found in tending to her flowers. Her home was always filled with the warm scent of food, the hum of conversation, and the laughter of generations. She was never without a witty remark or a humorous story to share, and she brought people together with her generous heart and social spirit.
A proud bocce player, Geni earned a championship title in 2000 at the ICC — a highlight she loved to recount. She enjoyed a good glass of wine and her beloved corretto coffee (especially with cookies). She also had a talent for crochet, creating countless handmade garments that wrapped her grandchildren in warmth and love.
Geni's legacy is one of resilience, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the stories, recipes, and laughter she leaves behind will be treasured forever.
