Germano Bortollon

Bortollon, Germano Luigi, (1926 - 2013). It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Germano in his 87th year at the St. Joseph Healthcare Community. Germano was the loving husband of Maria (nee Cremasco) for 60 years, the proud father of Lorenzo, Brian, Anna and Larry Vettor, and adoring nonno of Emma, Sara, Niko and Mitch. Germano leaves many Bortolon family members including brothers Fortunato and Carmella of Australia, Tony & Mary, Albino & Theresa, sister Gilda & Gino Rech of France, Cesare & Agnese Cremasco of Italy and, Angelo & Elena Cremasco. Germano is pre-deceased by many, including brothers and sisters Aldo Bortolon, Milva & Bruno Barichello, Gina & Alvese Peruzzi and, mother Luigia, father Pietro Bortollon, and in-laws Caterina & Paolo Cremasco. Germano also had many adventures with nieces, nephews and cousins including Graciella & Mario, Anna & Walter, Nancy & Bob, Peter & Melissa, Anthony, Tina & Ted, Paolo & Louise, Cathy & Darren, Debora, Mauricio & Stefania, Claudio & Clara, Angelo & Nora and, the families of Danilo Bortollon, Vincenzo & Bruno Bortolon, the Guidolin Clan and Rita & Angelo Tonin. Special thanks to those who offered excellent care and compassion to Germano including Dr. Schieck, Dr. Campbell, Dr. Bailey, Julie, Chris, Elizabeth, Claudette, Prussia, Julie, Ashley, Sara, Simon, Hanna, Anne, Selina, Irma, Kristy and the many others that make this a great community. Germano is resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N. on Sunday August 11 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00. Vigil on Sunday at 4 p.m. The funeral will be held on Monday August 12 at 10:00 am at St. John Parish. Germano will be laid to rest at the MaryMount Cemetery Mausoleum after the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kitchener Cancer Centre, the General Hospital and the St. Joseph Health Centre are appreciated.
