Carroll, Gertrude (nee Bernard) Peacefully at the Elliot Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in her 101st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Larry. Loving mother of Robert (Beverly), Fr. Bernard, S.J., Larry, Donald (Christiane). Dear grandmother of Steven (Kathaleen), Lynn (Jim Donald), Scott (Anita), Barbara Ann and David and great-grandmother of Erin, Connor, Sarah, Alexandra, Simon and Seth. Loved by nieces and nephews and many dear friends. The family is especially grateful for the sisterly friendship of Thelma Hornberger. Family and friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N, Guelph, Ontario, on Wednesday, April 30 from 2-4 & 7-9 with a prayer Vigil at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Thursday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow and burial in Montreal at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations to The Martyrs' Shrine, Midland, ON would be appreciated by the family.
