Passed away at the St. Thomas Hospital on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Marvin McKelvie in his 85th year was the beloved husband of the late Paula (Healy) McKelvie (1995). He was the loving father of Ray McKelvie and his wife Kim, Troy Antonie and her husband Terry, Laura Natale and her husband Victor and Mark MacLeod and his wife Skye. Marvin was the proud grandfather of Holly (Leith), Tavia, Morgan, Carter, Sam (Sarah), Sydney, Teagan, Heath and of several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Lorne McKelvie and his wife Pat, Marlene Morrison and her husband Wayne, Diane Cameron and her husband Bill and of the late Terry McKelvie and the late June Brown (John). Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marvin was a devoted man to hard work and his many restaurants over the years. He loved country and western music and was known to never turn down a sweet! He had a talent with his skilled hands which he expressed through his passions of woodworking and cooking. His heart had a weak spot for any animal and was often seen feeding the birds, squirrels, neighbourhood cats and even the odd skunk! He will be missed, but never forgotten - rest in peace - we love you
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon followed by a Private Family Service. Interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
