(1945 - 2020)
Grace Elise Apsit was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on May 26, 1945 and passed away on July 4, 2020 at the age of 75 years. She was the daughter of Dorothy and Charles Bond. She was very happily married to Bill Apsit, who passed away on September 10, 2016. They moved to Toronto in the mid 1960s. They later relocated to Guelph in the mid 1980s where they were relieved to live in a smaller, quieter city (although Grace commuted to Toronto for work for a couple of years). They enjoyed traveling together throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Grace loved her son, Jarry, and her daughter, Erin. She had a very productive, albeit stressful, career in various challenging administrative roles. She was tremendously fond of animals, and not just to eat them. She loved cats, dogs, pigs, birds and donkeys at The Donkey Sanctuary just south of Guelph. Her cherished cat, Amadeus, lives very happily with her ,daughter. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
