BURNS, John (Jack) Francis, At the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, September 20, 2010, Jack Burns age 73 years. Beloved husband of Catharine A. (Cathy) (Crack) Burns. Dear father of John and his wife Annette Yaskowich, Elizabeth Burns and her husband Ian Macpherson all of Guelph, Mary Margaret (Meg) Burns and her husband Mark Pali of Mississauga and Martha Burns and her husband Graham Purcell of Brantford. Loved grandfather of Burns, Galen, Samuel, Pierce, Aaron, Nolen, Madeline, Katherine and Jacqueline. Dear brother of Rev. William Burns of Thornhill, Mary and her husband Ronald Elliott of Calgary and Dr. Margaret Burns of Etobicoke. Jack had a long career in teaching and was the principal of the G.C.V.I., Guelph, from 1971-1985, and superintendant of education for the Dufferin-Peel Seperate School Board 1985-1996. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, (Wednesday 7-9 p.m and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.). Funeral on Friday morning to St. Joseph's Church for a Memorial Mass at 11 o'clock.
