McGivney, John J. "Jack": Passed away at Hospice Wellington on Friday, September 9, 2011, at the age of 83. Son of the late Mary and James McGivney, formerly of Arthur and Guelph. Dear brother of Alice (Harold Bailey) of Comox, BC, and the late Veronica, Helen (Stephen Rice), Clara (Keith Witty), and Philip (Beatrice). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Church of Our Lady on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
