Joseph Weiler

Weiler, Joseph Edward 1955 – 2016 Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital with family by his side on April 11, 2016. Beloved son of June and the late Jack Weiler (2015). Loving brother of Michael (Patti Bolster), Janice (Brian Harris), Barbara (Bob Norrish), and the late Larry and Linda (1966). Special uncle to Jeffrey, Jody (Kevin), Jonathan (Amanda), Stephanie (Patrick), Jennifer (Derek), Melissa (Brian), Krista, Teresa (Greg) and Laura (Nathan). Also great-uncle of twins Grace and Griffin, Brody, and Abigail. He will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Joe loved the outdoors, in earlier years he spent many enjoyable hours fishing and hunting. In recent years, he enjoyed the trails in his wheelchair along the speed river. The family wishes to thank the staff of Guelph Independent Living, the Guelph General Hospital, Dr. Paul Mendonca, and Father Dennis Noon. The family will receive friends at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Thursday April 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Guelph Independent Living or the Church of Our Lady Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
