Karen Louise Carroll (Serre) passed away peacefully, with family by her side at Hospice Wellington on Monday, October 9, 2023 in her 66th year. She was the beloved wife of Gary Carroll, cherished mother of Krista (David) Collins and Kyley (Dillin) Wiwczor. Proud Grandmother of Collin and Dianna Wiwczor. She is predeceased by her parents Ronald George and Sylvia Lorraine Porter. Dear sister of Brian (Pam) Porter, George (Anne) Gray, Marylou (Johnny) McKeown, Rick (Heather) Gray, Brad (Marion) Gray, and Judy (Keith Elsgood) Carroll. Karen will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family as well as many pets especially Squiggy.
Karen along with her family were blessed with an incredible and compassionate care team of doctors, nurses, PSWs, volunteers and many more. Karen and her family wish to say a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Spadafora and Hospice Wellington staff; for their kindness, compassion and guidance in Karen’s brave journey.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph. Family invite friends to a visitation on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 10:00-11:00am. The funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at the Dublin Chapel on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 am. Private entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum. A reception is to follow in the Fellowship Lounge at the funeral home.
