Kathleen Mary Foster

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Foster of Barrie ON on July 29th 2019 in her 76th year at Wellington Hospice in Guelph ON.

Daughter of Lloyd and Frances Fell. Dear mother of Sean Foster (Nonnie), Aleisha Kelly (Derek), and Erin Foster. She was the much loved grandmother “GMoe” to Ben, Megan, Kate, Maddie, and Sarah. Sister to Patricia DeLaurier (Roland), Sharron Fell, and Kenneth Fell (Penny West).

Maureen was a kind and loving individual in all of her circles in her life as a mother, grandmother, teacher, tutor, volunteer, pet owner, and member of the 7th Day Adventist community. She played an important role in all of these areas worshiping, leading engaging “seasoned adults” in bible study and setting tutoring fees to suit her “super kids” families income. Maureen loved meeting people, whether it was while she was polishing tea cups at Bibles for Missions or walking one of her furry friends she would always make friends along the way.

Maureen loved music, dancing, gardening, fishing, camping and life. She loved her BlueJays, especially on a summer night with a 1/2 beer and family. She had a sense of style like no other, with matching broaches, watches and scarves no matter where she was going.

GMoe showed unconditional love to her family and friends, she was hardworking, strong, caring, funny, independent, honest and a fighter to the end. Her grandchildren will forever remember her birthday cards filled with handwritten messages, bubble thoughts over the characters on the card, stickers and a crisp five dollar bill or two.

She will be greatly missed and always remembered by her family and friends.
