Adams, Dr. Leonard— It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband and father. Leonard passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Joyce Adams. Dear father of Alison Adams and Vanessa Orend (James). Grandpa of Gordie, Brendan and Michael. Survived by his brother Elton Adams (Trinidad and Tobago), Eversly Adams (Trinidad and Tobago), Pearl (Elsa) Baptiste (United Kingdom), Ruby (Louise) Williams (Trinidad and Tobago) and Hubert Adams (Trinidad and Tobago). Predeceased by his brother Rupert Adams (Trinidad and Tobago) and his sister Dulcina Devignes (Trinidad and Tobago). Leonard will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. A special thank you to the staff at the Guelph General Hospital (7th Floor) and Grand River Freeport Hospital (Terrace 3) for their compassion and care. Family will be receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, where visitation will take place on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 from 7-9 p.m., on Monday August 5th, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., and on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013 one hour prior to service at 10 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 235 Williamsburg Rd., Kitchener, ON, at 11a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the FACE, McMaster University, University of Guelph School of Languages and Literatures or It Is Written, Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
