Liam Charles Barr

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Liam Charles Barr on December 23, 2022 at the young age of 28. Liam was the much-loved son of Robert and Cathy Barr and the treasured twin brother of Conor Barr, all of Guelph. He was also the proud father of Jacob McAllister of Durham and the best friend of Ariel Mirett of New York City. Liam will be missed by his grandmothers, Blanche Widdis of Grand Valley and Muriel Craig of Perth, and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, and friends.

Liam was born in Guelph and spent his life here. He attended Westwood Public School, Jean Little Public School, College Avenue Public School, Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute, and Conestoga College. At various times, he worked at McDonald’s, Goodfellow Inc., Well.ca, and Finishmaster. Liam loved music, nature, animals, canoeing, riding his bike, playing basketball, and having a good laugh. He spent many happy weeks at Lumina Resort on the beautiful Lake of Bays.

The family will receive friends at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph on Thursday, January 5, 2023 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at 3:00pm with a reception to follow. All are welcome to live stream the service via ZOOM. Link to follow below his obituary.
