Surrounded by his family at the Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Luigi Bonaldo passed away peacefully in his 92nd year after living a full wonderful life.
Beloved husband to Bernardetta for 63 blessed years. Ever loving Papa to Luisa (Stephen) and Kathy (Patrick). Proud Nonno to Taylor (Lisa), and Erika (Michael) and Bis Nonno to first great-granddaughter, Mila.
Luigi is survived by his brother Santo (Lidia) and sisters Attilia, Imelda and Cezarina all of Italy.
Luigi was born in Castelfranco, Treviso, Italy and arrived in Canada in 1954. Together with his wife they settled in Guelph, built a home and raised a family. Luigi was happiest surrounded by his family. He enjoyed walks, attending morning Mass, his wife’s Italian home cooked meals and spent endless hours in his vegetable garden which he took great pride in. Luigi was a lifelong carpenter retiring at the age of 67 after working 41 years for Brazolot Homes.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St N., Guelph, where a private family service will be held in the funeral home chapel followed by entombment in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery Guelph. There will be no visitation.
