Mary-Kate MacLeod Wallace

Mary-Kate (MacLeod) Wallace died peacefully after an extended illness at the Elliott Long Term Care facility in Guelph Ontario on Thursday April 29. Mairi and husband Allan along with their daughter Avril emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1971, where she set up a hairdressing shop in Port Credit Mississauga & continued to work as a hairdresser until her retirement. Mairi and her husband returned often to holiday in Lossiemouth Scotland where they spent many happy days. Born in Portnalong, Isle of Skye she loved the east coast of Scotland as much as home. Mairi is survived by her only daughter Avril Macgregor Wallace who misses her dearly.

The wider family overseas include her sisters Joan & Dolac her Goddaughter Aileane as well as many nieces, nephews and their families who all remember her tremendous kindness, patience and generosity. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace in the company of her long-missed husband.

Mairi & Allan’s ashes will be taken to Lossiemouth in Scotland to their final resting place together.
