Maurice Van Hemmen

Van Hemmen, Maurice Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at Riverside Glen on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Maurice was the beloved husband of 55 years to Coby. Loving father to Maurice Jr. (Christina), Jim (Sharon), Rick (Ann), Sharon and Brian (Phaijith) and cherished Opa to Alysia, Keith, Jeremy, Jason, Jeffery, Nathaniel, Matthew, Stephen, Grace, Rose, Sierra, Michael and Adrian. He was predeceased by his siblings Thea, Peter, Tony and Theresa and survived by his sisters and brother Jane, Andy and Mitch. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Monday, October 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A vigil will be held for Maurice at 8 p.m. Mass to be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with interment at Marymount Cemetery. If so desired, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
