Mildred Jean Briggs

Briggs, Jean At Guelph General Hospital, on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 54 years, and best friend of Arthur Briggs. Loving mother of Paul (Deborah) Briggs of Guelph, Sharon (David) Bolender of Uxbridge, and Leslie Briggs, formally of Vancouver. Dear grandmother of Heather and Michael Braiden, and Hannah and Sam Briggs. Survived by brother Fred (Jean) Hawkins and sisters Pamela (the late Bud) Negard, and Geraldine (Colin) Haines. Predeceased by her siblings Vera Hawkins, Joyce (Doug) Clark, and Eric (Jean) Hawkins. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Kate Hawkins. Jean will be sadly missed by many members of the Village by the Arboretum. Visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntrye and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. A Private family service and Interment will be held at a later date.
