CARAVAGGIO, Nicholas Joseph (Nick)— November 5, 1947-October 6, 2015 With his loving family by his side at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 6th, 2015 in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Nancy. Loving father to Nicholas (Kristine Dawson), Mark, Krista and Shelly. Cherished Papa to Paul, Domenic and Kalayla. Survived by his mother Eusebia Caravaggio, and by his siblings, John, Diane and Tony. Predeceased by his father Benedetto. Nick dedicated 35 years to Triangle Sewing Centre and had a passion for sports, especially golf. Many thanks to the Bayshore Nurses, 7th floor staff at the Guelph General Hospital, Dr. Spadafora and Nurse Katie for their compassion and support. His smiling face, friendly handshake and contagious laughter will forever be missed by us all. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, where visitation will take place on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Service to commemorate Nick’s life will be held at Lakeside Church, 7654 Conservation Rd., Guelph on Friday, October 9th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, as Nick was a generous supporter of many local charities, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
