BABIN, Richard Maurice It is with deep sadness that Richard's family is announcing his passing. Rick was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, on May 29, 1952 and left us on October 31, 2009. He was the dear son of Al and Fran, and brother of Linda Pierce (John), Kathy Ecclestone (Eric), Alan, Colette, and Teresa Pellizzari (Frank). Richard was the loving uncle of ten nieces and nephews: Sasha, Jessica, Rachael, Janna, Lee, Blake, Jared, Dylan, Justyn, and Maggie, and he was the great-uncle of Pierce, Lily and Pippa. Friends may call to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers for Richard will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. Richard will be buried at Marymount Cemetery. May his strong faith and perseverance be a lesson to us all, and may he rest in peace.
