HANNAM, Richard Michael (Dick) Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace in Fergus on March 7, 2010, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Teresa (Whitlock) and father of Kim (Doug Hall), Kathy (Gord Darrah) and Carolyn (Craig Wing). Poppa to five grandchildren, Braden, Taylor, Benjamin, Breanna and Daniel. Brother of Peter (Sandra) and Valerie (Neil McCorkindale). Predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Vince Eagan, his nephew Edward, and his parents Richard and Margaret Hannam. Survived by many nieces and nephews and a very special cousin and "Seppy" Gerry Morrison. Dick was a retired Guelph Firefighter. After retirement he enjoyed spending hours in his shop, taking pristine care of his truck and spending time with family and friends. Dick loved to laugh and was well known to be the joker at any gathering. He had a love of country music and enjoyed nothing more than to sit and listen to his friends play their instruments and would jump at the chance to sing his one and only song, the Lawman. He had a huge personality, but an even bigger heart and love of helping people. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. A special thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Wellington Terrace for all of their care and support. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel , 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes at a later date at Marymount Cemetery in Guelph.
