On my tippy toes, twirling in the kitchen, my mom’s hand in mine, guiding me, leading, in the dance on the kitchen floor and on the stage of life. Was it Elvis? Was it Abba? Was it… Thank you mom for all the dances. I am so much older now and you got so much shorter, haha. I will miss the dances and you. Please join us in saying good-bye, pleasant dreams and bon voyage, to Rose Gombas (Baseggio) 83 year young, the feisty one ;). Daughter of Angelo Baseggio and Mother Adelia Baseggio (Silvestri). Mother to Stevie, Grant and Mary (Kristen Curry). Sister to Gino Baseggio (Donna Boughner). Aunt to Jeff Baseggio (Kim Niven), Gina Baseggio (Mike Gehr) and Chris. Great Aunt to Christopher, Nicholas, Alexander and last but not least Jennifer (traveling and living life as Rose did). Whom she all loved. Didn’t always say it with words, but loved with all her heart. She had a zest.. Over her life, she traveled, braved new fronts …as a woman and a single mom, loved gardening as every good Italian. An amazing cook as Nonna/Nonno taught her. They couldn’t agree on sauce, but, eh… So I have to make 2 different ones now. I’m looking at the flowers I inherited, I promise, I will try not to kill them.
Ciao Ciao ma.
