BROOKS, ROY GUELPH- At the St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, on Friday April 29th, 2011. Roy G. Brooks, age 85 years. Beloved husband of 59 years to Marjorie Brooks. Dear father of Catherine and her husband Peter Woolner of Kitchener; Laura and her husband Don Rees of Ballinafad; Lyndsey Power of Guelph and Julie and her husband Rick Fox of Oakville. Loved grandfather of Christina, Jodie and Steven Woolner; Marcus;Mackenzie;Haleigh and Bethany Rees; Meghan and Jaime Power; and Ryan, Kelly and Jacqueline Fox. Brother of Edward (Ted) of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Gwladys (nee Ellis) Brooks Roy was a veteran of World War II serving in Belgium, England, Holland, France and Germany. He was retired from Canadian General Electric and was an avid golfer and curler.
