

FANTINI, SABATINO (SAM):- Succumbed to illness and years of dialysis treatment, in Kitchener, on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Sabatino (Sam) Fantini, in his 80th year, was the beloved husband of Adriana (Audrey Tavascia) Fantini. He was the loving father of Orlando (Marie Campbell) Fantini and Cristina (Mark) Hovey. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Madison and MacKenzie Fantini and Samantha and Weldon Hovey. Sabatino was predeceased by his parents Orlando and Evelina Fantini. He was the loved brother of the late Tonino (Tony) Fantini and his wife Anna Fantini in Italy and survived by brothers Fausto (Maria) Fantini and Gianni (Elviana) Fantini, both families residing in Spain. He was the dear son-in-law to Piera Tavascia and the late Mario Tavascia and brother-in-law to Adele and the late Secondo Noco (Nick) Reginato and Frank Tavascia all of Guelph. Sanatino was a loving and caring husband, father, nonno, brother and viewed by those who came to know him as a kind and respectful friend with a wonderful smile and endearing blue-eyes. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives crossed paths with him. Sabatino battled the odds and endured kidney dialysis for the past 22 years. Many thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff and physicians at the Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility in Kitchener and the Renal Dialysis Unit at Grand River Hospital and who cared for him with compassion and dignity. Resting at the GILBERT MacINTYRE and SON FUNERAL HOME, DUBLIN CHAPEL, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph (Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.) Funeral on Monday morning, May 3rd, to Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice Street, for Funeral Mass at 10:00 o'clock. Entombment Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery. Vigil for Sam on Sunday evening at 8:30 o'clock.
