Stephen John White

January 2, 1955 – August 29, 2018

Son of Doreen and Fred White and brother of Gerald, Lesley, Christine, Kathleen and Philip. Husband of Terry; father of Tessa, Colin and Sharon and grandfather of Tessa and Ian’s son Erik. He was the brother in law and uncle of many, and friend to many more. Loved and missed by all.

Steve was born in Montreal and grew up in Quebec. He graduated from McGill University and had a long career as a mechanical engineer. His family was always in his heart. He loved nature and the family dog Teddy. His many interests included travel, nature, reading, history and politics. He had a love for blues and rock music and playing his guitar.

If I should go tomorrow

It would never be goodbye

For I have left my heart with you

So don’t you ever cry

The love that’s deep within me

Shall reach you from the stars

You’ll feel it from the heavens

And it will heal the scars.

In keeping with Steve’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations to the Guelph General Hospital or the Guelph Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be left at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com .
