Vittoria Anselmini

Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Michele (Mike) Anselmini, and her loving family – Cathy (Dan Bowmaster, Vikki, Chris, Krista, Ava, Ethan), Nata (Dave Scott, Tiffany, Kelsey, Eric Sinker), Artillio (Diane, Michael, Katrina, Raelynn, Kassandra), Paul (Patty, Nicholas, Jessica, Vincent, Allauren), Mary (Carlo Dinardo, Anthony), George (Linda, Myles, Tegan, Alex, Annabella), Natalina (Eric Gustavesen, Brett, Mitchell).

Vittoria survived by her brother Nuzio (Lina), predeceased by her Father and Mother, Paolo and Fortunata (Carere), son, Anthony, brothers Mike Sorrenti (Rosa), Giacomo (Vincenza), sister, Concetta and nephew, Paul Sorrenti. Vittoria will also be greatly missed by her many in-laws, extended family, friends, and her best friend, Maria Aramini.

Vittoria was born in the small Italian village of San Giorgio Morgetto, Calabria in 1934. She immigrated with her loving husband and came to Guelph, Ontario in 1957 for a better life for their children. Vittoria was known for her love of cooking and baking, which always brought her large family together; no one ever went hungry in her kitchen. Also an avid gardener, Vittoria loved to share her harvest with everyone, even passers-by on Ferguson Street.

A loving woman with an infectious smile and laughter, she will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m with a vigil at 3 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice St., Guelph, on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
