It is with broken hearts we share the passing of our beloved "Big E" at the age of 74 on April 29, 2021 at Guelph General Hospital. Born in New Brunswick, the son of the late Austin and Emma Ellis. Wayne will be deeply missed by his family. Wayne was lovingly devoted to his wife, Lois (nee Maybee), for 47 years. Wayne was a proud Dad to their three children: Trisha (John), Damion (Megan), and Matthew (Katie). Throughout his illness, being Poppa to six beautiful grandchildren (McKenna, Owen, Colten, Lauren, Austin, and Aibhlinn) was Wayne's reason to get up each morning and fight on. Wayne is survived by his siblings, Ned Ellis and Mona Hill as well as his sister-in-laws, Joyce Naigamwalla and Frances Budden. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at a later date. If desired, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
