William James Sauer

Sauer, William James (Member Knights of Columbus 4th Degree) -- Peacefully at his home in Guelph, with his family by his side, on Friday, June 15, 2007. William James (Bill) Sauer in his 89th year, was the beloved husband of the late Doris Foran (1986) and the loving companion of Pat Rohrwild of Guelph. He was the dear father of Joanne and her husband Ron Weiler of Elora, Bill and his wife Valerie, Brian and his wife Charmayne and Dianna and her husband Bill McLellan all of Guelph. He was the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren: Robin, Sherry, Jim, Rick, Allison, Heather, Brian, Lee-Ann, Angus, Duncan, Rory, and "GG" to eight great-grandchildren: Codie, Robert, Kathryn, Carson, Jamie, Connor, Simon and Olive. Bill was the dear brother of the late Freda Meston, Lillian Davis, Fred, Edna Rennie, Verna, Helen Kuenzig, and Isabelle Drexler. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, June 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Bill will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at the Church of Our Lady on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
