Adela Alvarez

Adela Alvarez 81, of Lindenhurst, passed away June 7, 2016 at Alden Long Grove Rehabilitation and Health Care. She was born September 4, 1934 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. My mom was such a lovely women. I Often think about all the times we spent together and all the amazing meals my mom cooked. She was such a pleasure to have around. I have learned so much from her and will remember her always. I love you Mom RIP. She is survived by her husband Manuel Alvarez, one daughter Evelyn (John) Weber, grandchildren Juanidal (Ivellise) Rivera, Ricky (Shannon) Rivera and Giovani (Amanda) Rivera, eleven great grandchildren Alexia, Idal. Jalyn, Xabian, Mack, Andreas, Izrael, Katin, MaKaila, Ava and Ricky Jr. siblings Erutida Colon, Doris Garcia, Epifonio Garcia, Bernabe Garcia,and Angel Garcia, preceded in death by her son Manuel Alvarez Jr., Visitation 5-8pm Sunday and 10-11am Monday at Marsh Funeral Home. Funeral Service 11:00 am Monday June 13, 2016 at Marsh Funeral Home. Burial Ascension Cemetery.
