Antonio Gerena

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Antonio Gerena passed away at the age of 77. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, he was the cherished son of the late Leandro Gerena and Dominga Alvarez. Loving brother of the late Felicita Gerena, Luz T. (Juan) Delgado, Elena (Temo) Gerena, Carmen M. (Joaquin) Gerena, Guillermo (Ivette) Gerena, Consuelo (Benjamin) Perez, Pedro Gerena, Jose R. (Margie) Gerena, Angel L. (Ana M) Gerena, and Rosita (Cholo) Gerena. Uncle of many nieces and nephews and loved by many family and friends.

Antonio had a big heart and was always kind to others. His smile was contagious and his sense of humor filled a room with laughs. His favorite pastimes included fishing, cooking, listening to music, playing the harmonica and singing. He will be greatly missed.

Interment after Mass at Ascension Cemetery,1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.
