

Anunciacion McLain, age 82, of Antioch, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025. Born in the Philippines, she was the beloved daughter of the late Casiano Cabacang Guardiano and Maria Sola Guardiano.
A proud Filipina, Anunciacion carried her culture with grace and warmth throughout her life. She was best known for her incredible cooking, bringing family and friends together around her table with meals made from the heart, and for her unwavering selflessness, always putting others before herself.
Anunciacion was a devoted wife to the late Denis L. McLain Sr., and a cherished mother to Apolinar Guardiano (Lea), Maria Tuck (Tre’mayne), Albert Guardiano, and Denis McLain Jr. (Diana). Her love extended deeply into her growing family, as a proud grandmother to Kattryn (Ryan), John, Justin, Joshua, Andreya (Ruben), Yashar, Elijah (Ariana), Emmanuel (Lawren), Aliyah, Xavier (Marlene), Audrianna, Denis III, Alina, and Bailey—and great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Patrocinia Mahinay, and a large extended family who will forever hold her memory close.
Anunciacion’s legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and quiet strength. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
