Dear Heckendorf family. I spoke with Beverly this evening and was saddened to hear of Arden's passing. I enjoy many great memories of growing up with Arden and Karen, graduating from Stevenson and Bogan schools. My thoughts are with you all. Carrie Hanley Ross

Al, Nicole, Beverly, and Family,

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Arden's death.  
We had hoped and prayed she would be able to overcome the medical issues she was experiencing recently.

Al, you and Arden and your family have meant so much to us over the almost 40 years of friendship.  We have shared joys, accomplishments, and sorrows.  There has been mutual support and respect between our families, as well as a comradeship that is rare today.

We feel a very real sense of loss with Arden's passing.  It is a hole  in our lives that will probably never be filled.  We are very disappointed that we cannot attend the visitation or funeral.  However, please know that our thoughts and prayers will be with you, Nicole, and Beverly at this very difficult time.

We will be donating a memorial gift to the Purdue University Cancer Research Center in Arden's name.
