Arthur C. Kretschmer, 79, passed away on January 15, 2018 at his home in North Chicago, Illinois. He was born on January 22, 1938 in Rochester, NY. Served as an army veteran. Arthur was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Waukegan. He loved to cook.
Arthur was a psychiatric nurse for many years retiring in 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Sara L. Kretschmer; two children, Kevin (Krista) Kretschmer from Stafford, NY and Janet (Mark) Coleman from Tarpon Springs, FL; two step children; Diane (Brian) Rener of Lake Bluff, IL and Brian Barrett of Rochester, NY; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas (Heidi) Kretschmer of Germany.
A visitation for Arthur will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10am to 11am at First United Methodist Church; 128 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. Waukegan, IL. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be private.
