Art graced the world with his presence on October 29, 1969 to proud parents Martha (Castillo) and Arturo, Sr. He was the oldest of three siblings and loved to say he was the favorite.
He attended Immaculate Conception Elementary school until 1983, and then graduated from Lane Tech in 1987. After graduation, he proudly joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed in South Korea. After his time of service, he was honorably discharged.
On Valentine’s Day in 1992, his first son, Andrew, was born. In March of 1999, his second son, Alex, was born. He was openly and immensely proud of his two boys from day one. He enjoyed watching them grow into intelligent young men and was happy to see that they inherited his witty sense of humor. His
beautiful granddaughter Remy added sparkle to his life the summer of 2015.
Art married Mary Anne (Duke) in October of 2014. In December of 2015, Anna Maria was born. She was a constant source of joy and playtime for him. He was happily satisfied that his third child was also turning into a loveable goofball.
Art’s second family was the employees of Packaging Corp. of America (PCA) based in Lake Forest, IL. He worked there for almost 21 years and loved every day of it. No matter what problem or issue he worked on, he was always happy to help and always had a witty comment to go along. Art’s sense of humor there is legendary and he will be missed more than anyone can say.
Art spent way too many hours playing “World of Warcraft” and loved it. He loved his “ Farm Simulator 19” game, as well, and spent a surprising amount of hours teaching Anna about tractors, different type of fertilizers, and farming skills. His wife, Mary Anne, is pretty sure he’d seen every single movie ever made, twice. But despite his screen time, he always had time to sit around and relax with family and friends, making them laugh with his endless jokes and wit.
Art attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He had new friends in the congregation and growing relationships. He respected and admired Pastor Roemke. Art had faith and believed that Jesus Christ died for his sins, and because of His resurrection, we’ll be united with Him and Art in Paradise.
Preceding Art is death are: Maternal Grandmother Leonor Villagomez; paternal grandparents Rita and Marcelino Enriquez; Great Uncle Rafael Villagomez; Uncle Ruben Castillo
