I have such wonderful memories of Mrs Walti. Always so warm and loving.  She made us feel like one of her own, welcoming us with smiles and hugs.    She is just a wonderful person . Our deepest sympathies.

I met Barb at the very start of my career and worked with her for a very short time.  Her influence in that very short span of time changed the teacher and educator I would become over the next 30 years.  I held her as my most impactful mentor and spoke of her often.  I am forever grateful to have known her. Sending her family love and peace.

She was unique, almost unshakable.  Motherhood,  nature  and life could not faze Barb.  She embraced the difficulties that were thrown at her and shook them off. 
She was a natural beauty who never spent too much effort adorning herself.  Collecting “things” was a waste of time.  She would spend her years making a difference in the lives she touched. 
Helping, nurturing, teaching , listening and loving  unselfishly those who came into her world. 
She was a remarkable woman.  And I was lucky enough to call her a good friend. 
I love you Barb.     

We were cousins. Her Mom and my Dad were brother and sister.  Our families visited as often as we could growing up  being separated by 900 miles. We felt a close kinship and comfort when our families got together for summer vacations. We spent many Thanksgivings together on the McCormick farm listening to wild stories from our extended family. 

Upon coming together once again at Uncle Frank and Aunt Marion’s 60th wedding anniversary, as the party drew to a close, Barb and I swore a pact that we would get together every year thereafter. And we did. We met the next spring at my brother’s home in Possum Kingdom, Texas. We added more cousins and more cousins and met every year thereafter in an interesting location to share fellowship. We gathered at our Cousins Reunion for many years but in November of 2023 Barbara was not well enough to attend…..
The Cousins meet again in late October 2024 and we will have fellowship and celebrate the amazing life that was Barbara Walti. Ken will tell us stories about her Grandkid’s Retreats and attending Ohio State football games….

Throughout the years, she was a radiant light - bringing wisdom, laughter and compassion to all those blessed to be in here presence. She would want us to continue to meet, and so we must. 

Deep sympathy to Ken and family on the loss of beloved Barb. May time provide space for all the good and wonderful memories of Barb in our lives. I feel blessed to have known Barb and interacted with her and the little kids at First Pres Church a few summers ago. Her impact on children was marked with kindness and deep commitment to teaching them the importance of caring and loving and being kind, and thoughtful. Barb will be missed by so many but her memory and legacy  will be kept alive by all who knew and loved her. Thank you, Barb!

My prayers go out for Barb and her family. Barb was an irreplaceable gem in our lives. She bought in so many positive changes for which I’ll forever be grateful. Barb will deeply be missed. Much like other families Barb worked with my daughter for the past year. Her though love gave us direction. Thank you for everything Barb. Barb worked with my son for a little over a year, he adored her. I adored her. Her tough love and parenting advice was the best ever. She helped us in so many ways. I would reach out from time to time even after EI came to an end and she was always kind enough to support us and respond.

I am to very sorry to hear of Barb's passing.  
I worked with your Mom in EC class, she was a joy to be around, she loved our SEDOL little ones.  
You're  Mom saw Jewelry  I made for the auctions at work.  When her Mother passes away she asked me to fix and restring  multiple pieces  for her.  She called me her personal jeweler.  
You her family were the biggest joy in her life.  She had so many pictures of you in her ECAT office and loved to share stories of you. 
I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing, Her smile and laughter will live on in you  

As someone mentioned above, Barb was such a great resource for parents and kids and used singing as a tool. Mason loved her and would run to the door when she would show up with her bags of toys. She always met kids where they were, even getting in tents with them. 

I am so sorry for your loss.  Barb was an amazing person.  I started working with her at SEDOL and had the pleasure of sharing a desk space and cotreating with her in the EI clinic housed at SEDOL and also later when our paths crossed in Early Intervention.  Her care, compassion, and love for the children and their families was evident for all to see.  In addition, she was FUN to work with.  :)  My nickname for her was "sweetie-pie Walti", which started when a little boy we worked with would loudly say, "There's my Sweetie-pie" whenever he saw her.  

So sad to hear this news.   I had the pleasure of working alongside Barb in the early intervention program.   I enjoyed collaborating and co-treating with her.   She was a wonderful therapist and so well loved by the families and kiddos she worked with as a DT.  Sending condolences to her family.   She will be missed.   

I had the pleasure of working with Barb in the early intervention program, and I have to share how sad it is to hear of her passing.  She truly cared about the families and children she worked with and was an asset to us all.  My deepest condolences to her family.  

I am so very sorry for your loss.  And for it being so much quicker than expected. I worked closely with Barb for 20 years while she was at SEDOL and as a Developmental Therapist for Early Intervention. It feels like I was just talking to Barb yesterday about a kiddo on my caseload that she was working with and she really didn't expect something like this at that time.  I went and looked back at notes and it was the beginning of May, so it really wasn't that long ago.  I messaged her after she let all of the Service Coordinators know and told her how much she was going to be missed by us and all the many many families she worked with currently and in the past.  She has been the glue for some of them.  She was always so calm and met families where they were at and helped them along their journey in Early Intervention and beyond.  
I had nicknamed her "The Singing Therapist" because it was a strategy I had seen her use often and was very calming to the children and the parents and it was something that families could easily relate to and use on their own.  That is going to be the happy memory I keep in my mind when thinking about Barb Walti.

Ms. Barb was my son, Connor’s, developmental therapist. She pushed him to be stronger and reach his goals. She advocated for him and made sure he got the additional help he needed. It takes a truly special person to have the gift and passions Barb did. My family will be forever grateful for the love and patience she showed my son. Without her love, he wouldn’t be where he is today. RIP Ms. Barb!
