Bernice passed away peacefully at her home in Waukegan, Illinois on October 31, 2014. She was born March 1, 1922 in Porudno, Poland and came to this country in 1946 as a war bride. She became a citizen in 1950 and was extremely proud to be an American.
Bernice was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Along with her love for her family and friends, she loved to dance. Her favorite phrase was, " I'm never too pooped to Polka."
She is survived by her three sons, Edward J. Miltimore of Laguna Niguel, CA, Gene R. (Diane Hunt) Miltimore of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and Walter J. (Patricia Vardeman) of Wadsworth, IL; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard D. Miltimore; her second husband, Joseph B. Perez; and her only daughter Regina S. Miltimore.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 8 from 10am-12pm, with a funeral service following at 12pm at Marsh Funeral Home. Interment at Ascension Cemetery.
