Charles William "Bill" Flesher, 92, passed away on October 25, 2015. Born in Gridley, Illinois on June 8, 1923; one of 6 children of Bertha and Herschel Flesher. He was an army WWII veteran and was awarded 2 purple hearts. Bill was a volunteer coordinator for Lake County AARP Tax Aid and advisor Junior Achievement. Worked at US Steel Wire Mill in Waukegan. He is survived by wife Ethel "Dolly" Golwitzer Flesher, sisters Kathleen McDermott, Joan Flanders and brother John Flesher; step-children Jackie Verne, Brian (Lori) Golwitzer, Dawn (Jesse) Arroyo, Clyde (June) Golwitzer, children John (Char) Flesher, Anne Schneller and Charles Flesher; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother Lorimer Flescher and sister Barbara Fulk; step children Gary Golwitzer Sr. and Donna Walles; first wife Marge Flesher and second wife Mary Flesher. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 5 to 8pm at Marsh Funeral Home. Funeral service Thursday at 11am at First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., in Waukegan, Illinois. Interment at Ascension Cemetery.
