
Dale Greco, 77, of Wadsworth, IL died Thursday, August 5th, 2021. Born July 13, 1944 in Chicago, he was the son of Edward and Elaine Greco. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Parker) Greco; his four children, Bryan of California, Deena of Illinois, Chad of Texas and Mike (Marie) of Illinois; nine grandchildren, Damian, Ryan, Tyler, Paige, Peri, Jenia, Aaliyah, Aabrie and Hwan; four great-grandchildren, Mikey, Dylan, Autumn and Lexie; a brother, Doug and sister, Chris; a nephew, Adam, and three nieces, Shari, Jennifer and Jackie. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis.
Dale was known for his football history at University of Illinois, playing on their last winning Rose Bowl team. He was drafted with the Minnesota Vikings only to be injured after four months in training camp that ended his career. Dale spent most of his career in management in the auto industry, and after retirement worked at the State of Illinois Driver’s License Facility.
He was a family man. Dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An awesome chef, he loved teaching all the kids to cook. He was known for his sense of humor, kindness and love of entertaining and cooking for others.
A “Celebration of Life” is scheduled for August 29th in Wadsworth.
